Australian Air Vice-Marshall visits AFOTEC Published May 30, 2008 Kirtland Air Force Base, N.M. -- The Air Force Operational Test and Evaluation Center Commander Maj. Gen. Stephen T. Sargeant hosted Air Vice-Marshall John Harvey of the Royal Australian Air Force at AFOTEC Headquarters May 22. Harvey is the RAAF Program Manager for New Air Combat Capability and visited AFOTEC to receive briefings regarding the operational testing of the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter, which is the largest acquisition program in the history of the Department of Defense. The JSF program is an internationally oriented program consisting of partnerships with several countries that include the Australia, the United Kingdom, Italy, the Netherlands, Turkey, Canada, Australia, Denmark, and Norway. In addition to receiving briefings on JSF, Harvey also updated AFOTEC leadership on the Australian JSF Program as well as the Australian Test Range Facilities in Woomera, Australia.
