New lieutenant gets big surprise

Maj. Gen. David J. Eichhorn, Air Force Operational Test and Evaluation Center Commander, congratulates 2nd Lt. Joshua Reding as he receives his degree in astrophysics from the University of New Mexico as Dr. Susan Bogus-Halter, UNM professor of engineering looks on. Lieutenant Reding was surprised by General Eichhorn who told him he had been selected to attend the Air Force Institute of Technology to obtain his master’s degree in astrophysics at the May 11, 2012 Air Force ROTC commissioning ceremony held at Kirtland AFB, N.M.
