Small Diameter Bomb (SDB) II

The SDB is a 250-pound air-launched weapon using deployable wings to achieve standoff range.  In 2009, AFOTEC conducted an Early Operational Assessment (EOA) to assess the system progress toward operational effectiveness and suitability, supporting the Milestone B decision.

Disablement Management System Modification (DMS-MOD)

The DMS-Mod is a digital upgrade to the analog System.  AFOTEC's Involvement of the Disablement Management System Modification is to monitor and participate in testing with Sandia National Laboratories and the Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center.  The Test director (2W2 SME) advises on the structure and functional capabilities of the system, to ensure successful disablement of B-61-12.  In addition, AFOTEC injects end user needs and requirements through early operational test involvement.
