Roles & Responsibilities: Leads 157 military and civilian personnel across 28 AFSCs, 6 Divisions, and 4 geographically separated units through operational test and evaluation of $190B in acquisition programs. Advises health, morale, welfare, dependent care responsibilities, PME, promotion, PT, recognition and awards programs to O6 CC. Represents CSAF DRU on bomber, mobility, C2ISR, helicopter, and trainer programs with OSD, other services, Air Staff, MAJCOMs, and SPOs. Manages $80M annual budget for operational control of 300 military, DoD civilian, and contractor members planning, executing, and reporting on 24 multiyear acquisition programs.
E-3 Effectiveness, C2ISR Test Operations Division (SSgt) - Detachment 5, Edwards AFB, California
Roles & Responsibilities: Lead radar operations effectiveness analyst manages operational test and evaluation planning, execution and reporting to advance $1.2B E-3G acquisition program. Identifies program deficiencies through OT&E to inform senior DoD leaders acquisition decisions and arm warfighters with next generation capabilities. Flight Instructor/Evaluator radar technician; provides wing with specialized combat ready aircrew—force prep’d for multi COCOM theaters. Manages flight eval status/aircrew pubs/trend analysis—informs CC of combat crew readiness.
Manager, Test Operations (MSgt) - Detachment 5 (Operating Location-Hurlburt Field, Florida)
Roles & Responsibilities: Leads 14 member team, manages $7.5M test resource plan for next generation DoD program. Qualified HH-60W instructor responsible for combat continuation, proficiency training, and credible OT&E integration. Reports and advises on OT results to OSD/MAJCOMs/Air Staff & SPO for DoD's special operations acquisition decisions. USAF lead HH-60W OT Special Mission Aviator; evaluates operational requirements for 2 new major weapon systems valued at $10.6B in defense acquisitions.

AFOTEC published a series of periodic reports based on their observations and participation in the test program. These periodic reports highlighted several areas of risk in the system design, sparking a recommendation to develop an event-driven schedule that supports adequate test and evaluation program that informs acquisitions and operational decisions.
Initial air refueling (AR) testing in 2016 revealed boom structural limits, sparking the redesign of the boom control system. As of October 2020, AFOTEC completed 63 percent of all planned IOT&E test points and the Cyber Vulnerability Penetration Assessment.
