NCOIC, RQ-4 Effectiveness (TSgt) - Detachment 5, Edwards AFB, California

Roles & Responsibilities: Lead RQ-4 operational SME. Coordinates operational test and evaluation preparation, execution, and reporting on $292M DoD GSMP acquisition program. Develops test plans, executes operational test, and reports limitations to HAF and OSD Senior Leaders in support of $1.7B ASIP/MSI programs. Instructor and evaluator RQ-4 sensor operator supporting flight training programs for 384 sensor operator candidates a year and informs FTU/CC on readiness. Oversees unit safety program. Conducts risk management and high risk activities training for 157 personnel and briefs leadership on emerging trends.

AF Distributed Common Ground System (DCGS)

The Air Force – Distributed Common Ground System (AF DCGS) supports ISR collection, processing, exploitation, analysis, and dissemination for the Global Hawk Block 30 system. The AF-DCGS employs global communications architecture to connect multiple intelligence platforms and sensors to numerous DCGS installations where intelligence analysts produce and disseminate intelligence products.

RQ-4B Global Hawk GSMP

The GSMP system is a building-based cockpit upgrade for the mission control, launch, and recovery elements for all RQ-4B variants. This new hardware and software will provide different operator interfaces from the legacy system and offers new capabilities such as more efficient displays, an upgraded communication system, and integration of external data feeds.
